First made in 1805 by Henri-Louis Pernod, it is an unsweetened aniseed flavoured liqueur that is often enjoyed after dinner as a digestive.
TASTING NOTES: The exotic bouquet, when tasted neat, is potent and bittersweet. With the addition of water, it turns milky-opaque and has a long, licorice-like finish.
